what did you eat? I'm eating soy ice cream and smoothies... soup too! how long was it before you ate "normal" food? I can't stand this soft stuff =/ it's all so sweet and I can't tolerate a lot of sweet stuff to begin with.
thank you :) I hope yours weren't too painful! The ones that are bothering me are the bottom ones -- they have stitches whereas my top ones were really easy I guess! Are you completely healed now? I hope! :)
well - no i'm still hurting. the first day was the hardest i didnt really chew anything - i drank lots of juice and ate mashed potatoes and soft foods. i tried to eat as normal as possibly because it helps - i was just very careful and slow.
when you have your follow up they should give you a little syringe to flush the food out of the holes. (so relieving!!)
i'm still recovering. about out of drugs and my teeth still hurt. my bottom ones also killed me. healing takes about 2 wks fully.
my dentist/surgeon said to rinse out very gently with a little salt water after eating, not so much the first two days, but the third day... and then a week from that. so hopefully that will work. I don't think I need to do that yet since I've just been swollowing my food without even letting it touch my teeth =/ and I also have stitches... so food CAN get stuck, but I don't think as much as if I'd have holes. I hope, anyway!
I wonder why the bottoms hurt more? hm. Well, I'm glad you're healing well! good luck :)
i had mine out 2 summers ago...TAKE IT SLOWLY! i ate normal food after a couple days and do i regret it...you should really eat soft/liquid for a week and then move on to just soft foods for another week..dont eat anything crunchy for about 2 weeks or you will feel the pain (like me) all over your body and plus, maybe get an infection (like me)...the best thing to do is sleep a lot and rest and heal (even though its just your teeth, your body took a beating too) so maybe 3-4 days just resting (like no running or alot of activity)...that's my advice... i wish so badly i wouldve followed it.
Great picture of you! I always feel a little bit bad when people tell me about their wisdom teeth experience, because I had probably the best possible experience when I got mine out. They stuck a needle in my arm and I woke up with a mouth full of cotton. A while later the stitches fell out and that was pretty much it. No pain, no medication, no infection, no nothing.
