0133: A break, let's take a break.

Aug 27, 2006 17:18

I'm wondering how brave I am concerning this blog of mine.

Am I fearless enough to keep it public even as I encounter people and events that make me get closer to the true me, the me that I don't want anyone to know, or am I going to be a coward and hide it all, maybe even abort the blog itself?

I'm starting to wonder why I'm alive, why I blog, and why people read my blog. For kicks? For a laugh? Or maybe they're worried about me. Maybe they like the writing style. Or the picture posts. Or maybe that's all a delusion.

I started this blog as a jumping board, a draft of my fictionalized life works. Now, it's become so much more than that, yet essentially it still is that.

The questions are: am I willing to share what I am now with those I have left behind more than four years ago and what I once was with those I'm just meeting now?

I don't think he reads this, though, if you ask. If he does (or did), he's never told me. And honestly, please don't ask him, because I don't think I'm prepared to know whatever the answer is.

And guys? Thanks. Thanks a lot. Thanks for everything :)

Actually I was going to have a different kind of contest but due to popular demand, I will make one similar to the one I did last April. :) I'm sorry other friends. :(

Basically, these are the first 51 people I thought of that are from Pisay Diliman Batch 2006, unknowingly appearing in my dreams many a time, lingering quietly while some take the spotlight. Ah, it's hard to sleep when a certain man takes it. (Why 51? Well, I wanted an odd number this time. :))

Rules: Post a comment stating the number you want to guess and your answer. First come, first serve. (So if someone beats you to it, no point for you.) Multiple guesses in one post is allowed, but not for the same number. (So you can't say 14 - Jean or Jane or Julia or Jam. However, something like 14 - Jean, 15 - Julia is allowed.) And of course, you can guess all you like, just wait for me to process/check your latest comment and it's ok to post again.

What else... ah. Contest will probably end like last time, when the winner got enough correct answers such that the second placer couldn't beat him even if he answered the rest of the questions correctly.

And what everyone wants to hear: there will be a prize :) Prize depends on whoever's first place. If say it was Lara-san who won, the prize would probably be Eeyore-related. :) If it was Vinni-san or Josef-san who won, it'd probably be Pokemon related. So on and so on.

Refer to this if you are still confused. :) And, yes, some of the people in the last contest will be seen again in this one. :) However, some won't be seen because the clues I thought of are too obvious. >_< I'm losing my touch.

Edit: I goofed someone's first year section. Donk. Anyway, it's fixed now. :)

Edit 2: I actually wanted to make this 61 people, but I'm not sure if anyone would want that. So I added some possible bonus points. But the rule is this: can only attempt a bonus point if you attempt to answer the question with the bonus point or if it's been answered. Can't try for the bonus point immediately.

1. Sometimes I wonder if I could go back to those days when it was just me in that dark classroom and you visiting your old classmates before class started. Life was so much simpler when we were in first year. If ever we became seatmates at any point in time (and I think we were), it isn't because of our respective heights.

2. You're my "partner" in the Camia basketball girls' team; if I had played for real it would have been funny. In second year you were the one that introduced me to your best friend in Rosal. And hey, you're an Andalite through and through. :) Ruth-san, by prettierdanpink

3. Oi, Heisenberg. There really was a sort of resemblance back then. Good for me who was your Chem groupmate back then. :) Your fourth year section is Truth. Jhud-san, by spikedcarapace

4. It was because of you that a lot of people in my fourth year section discovered the existence of my lj. >_< Your third year section was Rubidium. We have a common wish concerning our physical bodies. Donk. Clar-san, by polayn_jap

5. Honestly, I'm tired of all your DeathDay predictions, Trelawney. >_< I hear that you're doing well in Diliman. :) I think we took a Chem makeup exam together because of my illness and your STR project. Donk. You took Robotics in third year. I won't forget your unfortunate encounter with the printed word in first year.

6. With all honesty, you're the person whose lj I never forget to read. :) Abellar, by bottled_ether

7. You're my favorite superhero, no matter what happens :) Your fourth year section is Electron. And I'll never forget your old bedsheet (that's now your sister's, I think). :) Vinni-san, by oatmeal_cookie

8. I'm sorry but I'm not sorry that my parents are accountants. =P

9. I live in fear of falling down from your second floor if I sleep over at your house. Your first year section is Jade. Our adviser said once "You have a great body. Don't be ashamed to use it." :) You had a very firey part in the Ramayana. :) Bea-san, by oatmeal_cookie

10. We spent a long time talking during Open House in first year, godfather. :) I'm still waiting for my Firebolt. :) Your third year section is Rubidium. I remember you lost a lot of leather shoes in first year, but then we found one pair in the broom closet near the Topaz classroom or something. >_< Leo-san, by polayn_jap

11. I was embarassed to be your partner in the Graviton dance presentation. You had a very daring role in your class presentation of the Ramayana. And you know, I met you a few months before Pisay, I think. Funny how small the world is, or at least the part of the world that has review centers. :) Kel-san, by polayn_jap

12. If I tie my hair into a knot, it untangles itself easily. When you tie yours, it stays knotted. I don't know if I should be envious or not. :) Your third year section is Lithium. You're a near unstoppable force whenever December and a certain school-wide activity comes. :) Joan-san, by oatmeal_cookie

13. Your Dad has a weird idea of peace offerings when it comes to your erm, boyfriend/MU/dunno. We both have brothers in Batch '04. Your first year section is Garnet. Julia-san, by oatmeal_cookie

14. Our first conversation:
You: "Hi Lorraine, I'm _______." *holds out hand*
Me: *confused* "Erm, hi ______." *holds out hand*
*we shake hands*
*you run off, being busy*

Honestly you'd think it was a hit-and-run accident, except I don't think you shake hands with the one who erm, attacked you. I'm glad I was sort of forewarned by one of my second year classmates though, or I'd be even more confused.

15. We were sort of third wheels sometimes during groupworks with certain friends of ours during third year. Still, I'm glad I got to know you :) Your elementary school is in Quezon City, I think. I hope you're happy now, because after all you've been through lately you deserve nothing but the best, the very best. Gelyn-san, by quickerbrownfox

16. You were supposed to be my fellow alto in third year, but you had a more important job to do. :( However, I'm glad you did it because otherwise we would have all been lost. And how can I not forget, "Lord, how foolish these mortals be!" Hopia-san, by spikedcarapace

17. No matter what happens, yours was my favorite band in the Battle of the Bands in fourth year. And don't think that I've forgotten the time you dressed up as a Pisay girl. :) Nico-san, by oatmeal_cookie

18. We bonded over our disgust concerning the "La Blue Girl" OAV in third year. You were known pretty well for your voice in first year, and the years beyond. Your second year section is Rosal. I'm surprised you came from your elementary school, considering that your surname is a great contrast to those that are common there. (Bonus points for naming the person's elementary school.)

19. "Father, father, why did you have to die?" Haha, but you are my father in the Ruby Harry Potter Kris Kringle thing. How interesting, since I'm older than you by at least eight months. I believe you were a Sodium boy. :) GJ, by spikedcarapace

20. Meep meep meep. Meep. Meep! Hi meep :)

21. You're the only Pisay person who accused me of being a lesbian. It's ok, at least in first year I wasn't the type of person who'd freak out on hearing such a weird comment. Your fourth year section is Electron. I think, no, I know you can dance. :) Jman-san, by chnzo

22. On the first day of classes, you introduced me to your family. Would have been intimidating but you were a girl too. :) Your third year section is Rubidium. I'm sure because I saw it when we studied the Iliad, your third year prom gown is purple.

23. It was our mutual desire to be AdProg partners, but two people beat us to each other. Did that make sense? Well, either way, I think we did well with AdProg :) I don't know if you still play Ragnarok, though. You were in a Pure Sci section in second year. Jean-san, by polayn_jap (Bonus points if you state the two people who beat us to each other.) // Note: Bonus points still up for grabs.

24. I don't think you have Down's Syndrome, even though your palm says otherwise. :) We both don't like a certain chemical substance. Your second year section is Dahlia. I was one of the people who helped in giving you data for your fourth year STR project. Hmmm, you had a certain secret deal with one of my classmates about STR... (Bonus point for the name of the classmate who you had the secret deal with.)

25. We talked about prom gowns a lot in third year. I like what you gave your prom date, since it seems well-loved and well-washed. :) You have an interesting lunch container, aptly described as a large soap case. Your first year section is Emerald. Furqaan-san, by polayn_jap

26. I sing, you sing, and we sing mostly the same songs because we watch the same things. Your second year section is Adelfa. You look more like my father than me... it must be the eyes. >_< Alvin C., by chnzo

27. No matter what happens, yours is the only male/male pairing I'd seriously write fanfiction for. You'd be the masculine one though, since Julia agrees on me with that. :) (Extra point if you can tell me who I'd pair this person with.) Your second year section is Camia. Abuzo-san (partnered with Gem-san), by spikedcarapace

28. You like to "secretly" poke me a lot. >_< I think I picked up the habit because of you. Your third year section is Beryllium. And I see you sometimes at the girls' dorm, which is interesting since you're neither 1) a girl and 2) a dormer. Jose Alvin Perez, by polayn_jap

29. You like to sing that song from the CardCaptor Sakura Movie. It's very odd, seeing as it's a high-pitched song and you... well, it doesn't really fit your outside appearance. I won't forget those moments you erm... made high-pitched surprised sounds (tili). Your first year section is Opal, I think.

30. I know what advanced bloodline trait you'd want in Naruto. :) Sometimes it's your parents that text me instead of you. O.o (Bonus point for the name of the advanced bloodline trait.)

31. When you told me your nickname, I was shocked because my brother met a guy with the same nickname in Pisay also. >_< We had the same elective in third year, and really, our elective choices were pretty much the same in fourth year. (However, you took my second choice and I took your first choice.) We are both proud of a certain day in class where we beat a late bloomer. :) I sat next to your section's representative in the first year spelling bee. (And yes, I think I was at the end of the first year row, so he was my only seatmate.) Dingdong, by spikedcarapace

32. You offered me money for my services in fourth year. I just want a shrimp stuffed toy. :) You got Rosal a lot of points in second year during the Duli Cup. We have our own secret language of repeated words. :) :) You were one of the few who knew I had a crush on Himura Kenshin back then. :) Francine-chan, by chnzo

33. Conversation in fourth year:
You: "Lorraine, Lorraine, bakit di mo sinabi na nakakakita ka ng colors nung grade school?"
Me: "Erm, baka isipin na sira ang ulo ko." *thinks* "Wait, paano mo nalaman?"
You: "Lj mo!"
Me: "Eeep. Marami na ba ang nagbabasa ng lj ko?"
You: "Duh!"

I believe, and I am quite right in thinking this, that you were in Tau in fourth year, and we sat near each other at graduation. :) Sam, by polayn_jap

34. I won't forget that you offered me a rose in fourth year prom. :) But I still won't forget whom you offered a rose to in third year prom. O.o Your fourth year section is Charm. And I know someone who knows your Yahoo Mail password. >_< Franz-san, by chnzo

35. I know you were a good drawer, since I remember that even a girl in Sampa contracted you to draw Himura Kenshin for her during second year. You have a name similar to a relatively famous person in the Philippines. Fellow dormer, but not dorm-mate, I'm sure. :) Your section in second year is Camia. Eric Enriquez, by prettierdanpink

36. We ate dinner together sometimes in fourth year. I miss you dearly. Your second year section is Sampaguita. We both know something of ballet because of a certain show we watched around third year. :) And I guess now I'm one of the few people who call you a certain name... Clao-Clao, by chnzo

37. Sometimes you visited my dorm room in fourth year, though sadly we were never classmates. Your third year section is Rubidium. I'm glad to hear that you're doing well - if I had studied there, I'd be scared of the otherwordly elements supposedly present there. :) Desa-san, by polayn_jap

38. We bonded over the ineptitude of one Schumacher during second year, trying to remember what the heck her favorite movie of all time, 8MM was all about. When we were classmates, there were at least 20 people between us. It's funny that while you seem so much of a man, when you seem to not mind cross-dressing during class/group presentations. Or maybe that's just good acting. Your first year section is Ruby.

39. A lot of Potassium guys saw us walk together the day you asked me a certain question. >_< Talk about suspicious minds. We've had the same STR teacher for two years. This is not good. Oh the pain. It's unfair that you're taller than me (but then again, who isn't?). Did I mention that we've had the same English teacher for three years? Talk about coincidence. Actually, we've had a lot of similar teachers over the years. Just one thing, I had Sir Javier. :) Xavier-san, by chnzo

40. You don't look it, but you know a lot of chismis. >_< It's nice that we got to talk during our mutual cramming of STR in fourth year. Your second year section was Adelfa. You wanted me to go to Ateneo like you were, but in the end neither of us did. O.o

41. We practiced together the unforgettable Graviton Dance Move a lot. I think even now you can still do it (since I've seen you do it many a time during fourth year). :) You're a tech person, yet you defected in fourth year. Haha. And for goodness' sake, what do you do to your bags? O.o Andok-san, by quickerbrownfox

42. A conversation in third year:
You: "Hindi na istrostroll ko si Lorraine, iba na ang iisipin ko kung ganon."
Me: "Sino ba nagsabi na gusto ko na istroll mo ako?"

Obviously, we both sang the same song in the English presentation in third year. I think you have a problem with your hair... rather, your tendency to put your falling hairs in your Physics notebook. >_< You had Tech Skills in 2nd year.

43. I remember telling you about a club meeting that never occurred in second year. >_< Your third year section is Cesium. I feel sad that we were never classmates, but I'm glad that I still have some contact with you :) I liked your hair, before and after you did something to it. :) Lara-san, by oatmeal_cookie

44. I wish I was as brave as you, Rosal girl. :)

45. I didn't really believe in handwriting analysis (even though I did study it avidly) until I analyzed yours. Your second year section was Rosal. You know more about Filipino foods than me, which is funny given our early childhood days and environments. :)

46. You're the porn prince of AdEl. >_< I remember that the AdEl classroom got changed twice because of you. You like the front lobby cats. Your first year section was Topaz. Elmar-san, by twisted_rebel06

47. I'm sorry you had to see me cry one sad miserable fourth year night. We have nearly the same tastes regarding two-dimensional guys. :) Your first year section is Emerald. I like your hair, although I hope that you have a different person cutting your hair now. :) Alyssa-san, by polayn_jap

48. We were both sort of sad during the Star Scholar orientation, since we had hardly any academic achievements compared to our classmates who had truckloads. We both came late to AdProg that day, but really, we missed nothing since our supposed teacher also was a Candidate. Your first year section was Opal. Kido-san, by polayn_jap

49. Your invisible ink got our classmate in a lot of trouble in second year. >_< Your third year section is Magnesium. I like your skirts and your hair, it's so much more glossy and pretty compared to mine. :) Piuse, by chnzo

50. I want to see the carabao, the carabao, the carabao! :) Alba-san, by chnzo

51. In a sad, sad way, this livejournal of mine is a testament, a monument, to you. But I'm happy, because in a way my livejournal, nay, our interactions, have helped me grow and change and become someone different yet still essentially the same.

Oops. I think this is an Electron-Garnet biased contest. At least it's not Adelfa-biased anymore. O.o

Right now, Pauline-san's leading :)

I am seriously thinking of adding 10 more people because of the scores so far. If my prediction is right, it might end in a tie. >_<

While I think about it (and any suggestions are appreciated), I've added opportunities for earning bonus points to some of the unanswered questions.
