Etsy

This morning I woke up to a delightful note in my inbox. 'Purchase confirmed!' I checked, and a vintage arithmetic book I'd had in my etsy shop had sold for the modest 5$ I was asking, plus 3$ for shipping. I packed it up and got it mailed out (god bless media mail, 2.45$!) this morning, before work. And now, all I want to do is go searching antique stores and thrift shops and tag sales for more gems; clean them up, take lovely photos, and carefully describe them on etsy. I want to be painting small owls, and sewing purses and cup holders, and reconstructing tee shirts and binding recycled books. I do love animation, I really do - but I can't WAIT to have some spare time this summer to see if I can't get this etsy shop off the ground, and start selling art, instead of just found things (I've yet to sell a photo, which is hardly surprising, I'm not much of a photographer anymore). I itch to create things, and while I've hit a new, good stride with my degree project, I wish I could wake up every morning and craft, rather than trudge to class and work.

Summer can't come fast enough. I miss running, I miss skirts, I miss warm breezes and sunshine and days filled with things I want to do rather than stressing about what I need to do. Hopefully I'll be in a new, better apartment sort-of soon, and have my Lila back, and get to read and write and play again. Maybe I'll be happy this time around. Hawr.

Okay. Off to animate some drips! <3
