I've experienced similar feelings and visions in 18th century locations... feelings that I had "been there" before, even if I never laid eyes on the place, and knowledge of other things.. these were especially strong in Philly and Morristown, as well as a place called New Windsor in NY state and @ Oxford forge in NJ, I suppose this is in part one of the reasons I reenact, to "get back the feelings" of what I might have been or experienced. It was kind of bizarre, because at my first event, I knew what to do without being told.. it was like some other part of my psyche was taking over, telling my 21st c self what to do it was like I was in some sort of trance... Freaked the heck out of me when I thought about it later on( and suprised the hell out of the other members in my unit, as I was supposed to be a newbie!)
I'd love to hear some of what you've experienced, if you'd feel comfortable sharing
Raised as a devout Catholic( of the Irish/Cuban variety) I was taught that the soul only goes around once, but the more I've researched and felt these deja vu feelings, the more I've come to wonder if indeed, some of us HAVE lived at least one other life than this!
I was back @ Jockey Hollow over the weekend, taking advantage of the warmer weather and hiking the trails with some friends. I once again had those This time, the experience was if anything stronger. It was not frightening, but I did start have an overwhelming feeling of sadness, anger and both physical and emotional pain( so much so that I became nautious and had to sit down).. This could be the energy residing there( some of it negative) or just cause I'm an over-emotional drama queen who identifies with the 18th c WAYY too much !;) I took pics and sure enough, in two of them, darkish bloctches came out somewhere around the area I felt the sensations in.. blotches that were not in other pics..could be the light, or could be something more ( I shall post said pics in the next couple days)
