blather blather blather

You know what's bugging me now? The phrase "play around" when you're talking about conlanging/conscripting. Because it's frustrating when I have no idea what the person actually did.

"I started playing around with sounds." "I started playing around with letters." What? What does that mean? Did you slosh sounds around in your mouth? Make funny shapes with your tongue? Wrote everything with your non-dominant hand? Write letters, tear them up, crush them into tiny balls all knock them around the room before writing them down again? What? Those are all great, but can your tell us that? I just don't know what you did, and I came here for ideas.

Actually, that last one about tearing up paper sounded pretty fun. I may do that.

This is going on my journal rather than a conlanging comm because it's just a silly rant. I know not many of you care.

Oh. And I changed my name on DA. It's [Byrdie the Motley]. Dunno if I'll change it here. Though I really hate not having the same or similar names on my social stuff. It's starting to make me twitch.

Haha, Sokka and Demona are in the same pose.

conlanging, art, rant
