last night
I read a review for a book that said they wouldn't say the story was romantic at all and while the main characters (more than likely?) had feelings for each other, it wasn't resolved.
I ordered the book right then.
There were other reasons I wanted the book, of course! But that was the one that tipped me over the edge. Man, I hope it's true, I hope, I hope, I hope. If not...eeeh I can deal with it, I guess. I mean, I got through Gail Dayton's The Compass Rose more or less unscathed and there was oodles of random sex. (actually, somehow it ended up being on of my favorite books...not sure how that happened. There's a confession in there, and quite a bit of jealousy. It's irritating.)
But I'm really hoping, here.
Oh. The book I'm talking about is this one: Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon. Please don't suck. Like A:TLA, you have so many ways you could suck. But it didn't, so please don't suck.
EDIT: I finished the five and a half chapter preview (available [here]). I like it! I can't wait for it to get here on Tuesday. /EDIT
This is the last weekend of my summer vacation. I go back to work on Monday. Noooooooooooo! D:
