hacking my lungs out

I'm rearranging my room, today, and it's full of dust. I guess I don't go to my bookshelf nearly as much as I thought. But I'm hoping to change that, now that it'll be in a more prominent location. AFTER TEN YEARS, I'M SWITCHING THINGS UP. *hack hack*

Yesterday, one of my students did the sweetest thing (and remember, she's in first grade): she gave me a (blank) thank you card with an (expired) coupon for a free doughnut. OMG it was the best part pf the entire day. She's always giving away random things--like the day before, she gave her classmates squares of wrapping paper to use as bookmarks. Just because.

She reminds me of...a Borrower, or one of the Littles (one was a rip-off of the other, so why not?). Or a church mouse from some animated movie. She'll give little, pretty much useless stuff to you, but she means it so sincerely that you don't care if it's expired or not.

I can't wait for our winter party. She's getting a fancy card from me.

Also, I listened to a podcast on [The Book of Kells] this morning--I'd seen Brendan and the Secret of Kells months ago, but I didn't know it was still around. I wanna go to Dublin, now.

Well! Back into the dusty room! *hack*
