after seven years, i kind of like my neighborhood
To say I'm a hermit would be an understatement. I've lived in this hose for years and I hardly know any of my neighbors. I definitely know one couple, Mike and San. Mike is my mom's ex-boyfriend's brother, and he's super cool. An artist and into anime. San's also great--a tiny lady with a shrill, hilarious voice and is very nice. But besides them, nobody.
Well, I have to walk home a quarter- or half-mile (? I think it's just a quarter mile, though, but uphill. And I HATE hills. And no sidewalk. That makes the walk ten times worse) from the bus, and it's super cold now. A neighbor that I'd never met drove up to her house and greeted me, and said that I was "froze to death" (SUPER COLD). So she even gave me her number and offered to drive me home if I call her. Awww.
I really don't have the intention to call (well...maybe if it's REALLY cold), but she's made my holiday card list. Well. Season's Greetings card list. I love people, sometimes.
