Six Things: End of Summer Edition with Two Bonus Tracks

1. Saturday night was Dorian's Parlor, a monthly Steampunk event at the DoubleTree in Philly. Guess what? There were People there (see, there was this one time when Fast, Cheap and Out of Control deceived us...). A nice shindig with a good DJ, dancing, a band, fashionable speculative anachronists, pretty much what you'd expect. I got invited to an early Halloween Party. Once September hits I will think the "What else can I get ready in time" thoughts that come with Halloween. Oh Crap! I don't think my condo is Trick or Treat-er accessible really at all. :/

2. Sunday was a sporadically rainy day in New Hope with my lady. Wandering and shopping and eating. She's never been, we both dug it. The sun came out through the rain late in the afternoon but there was no Double Rainbow.

3. Shadowland Lancaster is in two weeks (Labor Day weekend). I think I'll hit that. That's a Saturday night. Hit me up if you want to carpool/caravan. That Sunday I'll maybe do Fast/Cheap in Philly if you want to meet up, booze up and riot.

4. The Nev Er Fah King End Ing saga of trying to get internet hooked up at home is Nev. Er. End. Ing. If you ever suffer a debilitating brain injury, get'cher self a job at Verizon. Apparently it's up to me to cancel and re-order DSL in their system because my order is in one of their systems but not the other. Yeah, yeah, I know, I've got it worse than the average third world refugee.

5. Now that my Plague Hands are copasetic I think I'll risk hiking out in the vast green again. I feel like the Summer was stolen from me.

6. Man, I'd like to retire someday. Like tomorrow.

7. I'd like to go see Soundgarden. And Mumford & Sons. And The Pixies.

8. The Individidual World Poetry Slam got pulled from Philly and is now going to be in Charlotte this year. My heart goes out to everyone involved who tried hard to make that happen but found out it wasn't in the stars for this year.

music, boozing, steampunk, dancing, work, health, house, clubs
