Why am I surprised?

Okay, I'm not really surprised, but one would think that enough time would go by to get over the past and take the opportunity to say "Hey, let's try to be friends, even from afar." Yeah, not so much the case this time ( Read more... )

Yeah, don't know the story here, but I've never been interested in friendship - even years after the fact - if things 'ended badly', as you say. Heck I've done the same thing she has.

Look at it this way, things ended when they did for a reason. Whatever lessons you needed to learn or things you needed to experience, you did. If things were meant to last they would have. You have many more adventures in your future, and you may even be experiencing something right now and not even realize it! Life in the present is far too subtle and magical and grand to get mired in the past.

You do seem to put a lot of yourself and your heart in every girl and situation, which, inevitably, can lead to a very broken heart when things don't go right. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, but it's just how it seems to be, from what I've observed. Nobody gives the nice people any credit. D=

I may come off as snarky or cynical, but when I love, I love completely, passionately, and honestly. Cassie was a particularly big investment...which ultimately would have had little to no return. ( Hell, we'd have killed each other during the election season. )
