my ears are fucking toasted. we've been mixing for 2 days. we've finished 4 of the 10.
the hardest one is on deck - after that it should be pretty smooth sailing.
it'd better be. we have a mastering date on wednesday @ new alliance east and there's no wiggle-room and it cannot be pushed back. so mix tomorrow, noon till probably midnight. monday noon until probably 8pm... gotta go to the joan of arc/owen show... anyhow.. i'll pray to be done by then i guess.. (actually totally reasonable at this rate.) mastered wednesday then it's off to the presses.
as i was typing i got the storyboards from mike who's animating the video thing for Gimme Diction.. looks cool so far. ahhhhhhhh
what's weird is, after listening so carefully to every frequency of every instrument so damned carefully under a microscope, the sound of my typing sounds very... 3 dimensional. its sortof weird.. i would've expected that if i had to listen to some over-compressed, over-gated, over-limited digital recording for hours and hours on end .. maybe my ears are starting to develop tape saturaton around the ear canal.
i'm going to go rest these tired ears.
