[There's about a minute of nothing but the sound of someone pressing buttons and trying to figure out how the shit to work this thing]
This is why I was not the one to handle these sorts of machines--Jin understood them as if he could speak with them-
[And hey, the video doesn't come on but the speaker finally figures out that this thing is

...Takaya!
[That's about all he can muster right now. Give him a sec to get over the shock.]

...Jin?
Reveal to me your name; it is Jin I speak to, correct?

[He tries to tone down the surprise in his voice, but it doesn't really work.]
Are you okay? Where are you?

[Since he'd run into SEES after all, and with how loyal Jin was, he'd just guessed that he'd died trying.]
I seem to have arrived on the corner of...
[There's a pause as he seems to be hunting for any sign of where he is]
...Liddel Way and Lander Boulevard. And, as for my well-being...I was recently defeated in a battle with SEES; for now, I do not have much strength.
[Yeah, you bet his tone drops when he has to admit that he lost to SEES, and for good this time.]

I can fill you in on everything later. For now, you should get out of there. If you head north far enough, you should get to Horton Lane. That's where I am.
...You have your gun right? There are monsters.

...There is much to talk about.
[He's pretty sure that Nyx won back home anyway, so at least he's not bringing that bad news.]
Always. We will speak soon, then, and you may inform me of the nuances of Discedo.

[Not really sure what to do here. His instinct was to find Takaya as soon as possible, of course, but maybe he should wait to be ordered.]

I have little knowledge of the native fauna, and no way to tell which direction is north. Your assistance is not required, but would be most helpful.
[So he doesn't have to ask, but can leave it open to Jin's better judgement instead. He's not even sure if he can do much more than drag himself around anyway.]

I'll find you. Just stay right there. ...It might take me a while to get down there, though, so be careful.
((ooc: commentlog go?))

[He really doesn't want to have to start wasting bullets; something about this place tells him that he's going to be hurting for an excess of anything, including bullets.]
((ooc: I don't see why not. :D))

[He turns the comm off.]

...Takaya?
[It was better to make himself known; it could be bad if he startled him. He's got his green jacket on as usual, but on top of it is another black coat. It was considerably colder here than it ever got in Iwatodai. He brought a jacket along for Takaya too, but it's stuffed in his briefcase. Wouldn't want to insult him with it, after all.]

I am here, Jin.
[He offhandedly shoves his gun back in his belt, unfolding his arms. He wants to say something further about Tartarus, about his defeat, but it's far too open here, too dangerous.]

Takaya...
[What to say? How happy he is to see him? That would sound ridiculous.]
You didn't have any trouble, did you?
Reply
[He uses the wall as a support to stand up, before facing Jin. He's also relieved to see him, a comrade, but won't actually say it aloud.]
The Dark Hour...is it here as well?
