Some Observations and Two Recs

Things I have learned (and love) about Sherlock (mostly) through fandom:

- He never buys the milk. When he does buy the milk, it's probably for an experiment. Or because he doesn't know how to otherwise express affection. (Usually the latter.)
- Being asexual seems to always result in an unexpectedly large amount of sex. (It's a barter system?)
- He ADORES that coat and all its dramatic flourishes, although he would probably never ever admit to it.
- When he does sleep, it's typically on the couch. His own bed is mostly an experiment repository. On the odd occasions he does sleep, the best sleep he gets is in John's bed. (Obviously.)
- He can survive on nicotine patches, tea, and science alone. Unless he's not on a case, which is when John makes him eat something, for pity's sake.
- He thinks John's therapist is rubbish. (He's probably right.)

I'm reasonably certain all these things are fanon. Based on bits of canon, of course. But I can never be 100% sure. Once I get to a certain saturation level of fic, I start losing track. I'm just at the tipping point now. I have read a lot of fic. (KEEP IT COMING, PLEASE.)

Speaking of the coat, there is an INCREDIBLE vid all about it. Which is the sole convincing argument for point #3 above. Would you like a coat fetish too? Coming right up:

I knew the coat was a bit of a thing. I didn't realize exactly how much of a thing it was until humansrsuperior's started putting all of it together and making me realize how many times he does that collar flip or that flourish or wraps it around himself or... well, it's impressive. The movement and pacing of the vid is really outstanding. She blends one scene so perfectly into another and another and another. It's one of those vids I just want to go "WHEEEEE!" while watching.

ETA: OMG, BONUS PICSPAM ENTRY.

SON OF ETA: LAST UPDATE, I PROMISE. I needed to rec this while I was at it though:
