So more on the big Anime Detour 2010 adventure eventually, because I'm still decompressing from it a bit. Instead, I am posting a lot of fangirl squee that only a handful of you care about. All of it behind the LJ cut for that reason.
I have tickets for Adam and Allison's show at Mystic Lake and for Kris's show at the Fine Line! The seats I got for Adam and Allison are decent enough, but off to the side of the stage. I'm pretty sure that I would be able to see Adam from space though, so I'm not worried. The Fine Line is TINY, so the only bad seat in the house is the one you can't elbow your way out of. My younger brother's band plays the venue on and off too, so that's weird. Kris Allen will be playing the same stage as my little bro. I don't know if that means I should be rating his band higher than I already am or if I should feel bad for Kris, lol. (I AM SORRY LITTLE BRO WHO DOESN'T EVEN READ MY LJ.) I was telling my mother about this earlier and she said I should tell Kris that my brother plays there if I get to talk to him. Because apparently this is a possibility in her mind. OH, MOM.
Speaking of my mother, she is a not-so-secret Glambert it seems? I was having dinner with her on Wednesday and she asked if I had heard about the Adam concert at Mystic Lake. (OH, MOM. YOU HAVE NO IDEA.) I told her that yes and I'd already purchased my tickets, and also tickets to see Kris Allen were going on sale Thursday. She said she could understand going to see Adam because he would put on a show (MOM, I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT YOU THINKING ABOUT ADAM PUTTING ON A SHOW PLZ.) whilst Kris is just "some dude on a stage." Ahahaha, poor Kris. I defended him admirably, I'll have you all know, but she still hasn't come around. She said again that Adam should have won season 8.
As mundane as my parents are, I sure got my fangirl genes from somewhere.
So anyway, now all that's left for me to do is to procure tickets for Adam and Allison's show up in Northern MN. Those go on sale a bit later this month.
blacksquirrel and I are crazy enough to roadtrip to it, then to drive back down to the cities the next day in order to see the Mystic show. Here's hoping I am tenacious enough to swing those tickets as well. (Hint: I am.)
Somewhere in the back of my mind I'm not entirely convinced these people are real. Seeing them live will be surreal mixed with amazing.
