Finally I have a SCC icon.

You know who is hot? Both Eliza Dushku and Summer Glau. You know what's not hot? Really forced promotions in which they express how much they can be anything you want together several times over. Not like I wouldn't expect something like this from the people who want to reassure the 18-25 heterosexual male crowd that "IT'S OKAY. THE WOMEN WITH THE GUNS ARE NOT SCARY. THEY EXIST TO PLEASE YOU." But still, it's a good thing this is only a one week promo deal, otherwise I might have to make arrangements to start watching both shows after they've aired.

Anyway, that aside. Unorganized thoughts behind the cuts.

I love this show. It's rock solid just about every week. I'm not sure what I think of hallucinatory Kyle Reese and his questionable facial hair, but Sarah remains a total badass. Derek is really starting to feel like part of the family, which will be interesting when it comes to light that Jesse is playing him with the aide of Riley. It was good to see Ms. Weaver doing some damage instead of being mysterious behind a desk all the time. The episode could have used more Ellison though. I loved the doctor who was sympathetic and protective of Sarah because she'd been through an abusive relationship. I'm somewhat sad she was just left hanging at the end, but I don't see a way she could have stayed plugged into the plot either.

Also, haha, both Ash from Supernatural and Michael from SGA playing cops. Canadian actor bingo FTW.

I'm not entirely sure what to think about Dollhouse yet. I don't have any complaints, which is a good thing, but I haven't quite found my hook yet. Given the premise, that the main character is a different person every week, I'm giving it ample time to grow on me. I want to know why not!Fred is all scarred and bitter. FBI Agent Helo is also intriguing to me. Not just because of the shirtless boxing. (Although I'm not complaining about the shirtless boxing.) Aside from that I'm very much taking a wait and see attitude toward it. It's much less genre than anything else of Whedon's I've seen, despite the whole brainwashing premise. I suppose that opens it up to being more popular across a wide audience, but I'm not sure how that will sit with me personally if there isn't a character I'm really invested in (yet).
