Hypocrisy
Yeah... it's been awhile... Anyway, I've been avoiding shooting my mouth off lately... but sometimes you just gotta get pissed off...
Congress won't get off their fucking vacationing asses (they're on break right now) to help out New Orleans... a city of hundreds of thousands of people, an historic monument of this country... YET, they have a fucking midnight session to try to "save" fucking terri schiavo... that's fucking bull...
I posed a point to my father yesterday... in the last 6 years alone we have seen some of the most disgusting moments of this country's history. In the last 6 years we have seen sneaky underhanded politics to get an illiterate idiot the most powerful public position in the world (for those bush fans out there who want to challenge me, i DARE you... it's been a while since i let my blood run hot), an unpopular war started for reasons COMPLETELY different than the ones claimed now (again, if you're a warmonger, just try me because i can say with full confidence... you are a MORON and if you're so for the war, get over to Iraq and shut the fuck up), a rise in gas prices reaching a ridiculous 300% WHILE record profits are still being made (if you haven't seen an oil quote for the upcoming winter, then don't bother arguing with me), a massive rise in unemployment (DO NOT bother arguing it's because of the world trade center attack), a massive rise in homelessness, etc... and now where can i even start with bush thinking he's helping by TOURING THE DESTRUCTION???? (back to the point about schiavo and congress)... The point i posed was the exact point of the song i just listened to, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU! Seriously, how bad do things have to get before people do anything besides mutter
Here's the other side though... what IS THERE TO DO!!! in 04 there was the alternative with... John Kerry?!?!?!?! An opportunist who didn't even know what side he was on half the time... and before any of the ISO old guard starts on me... no i am not considering and will not rejoin the ISO until i start seeing some major changes with the approaches taken towards arguing with people... I ran into Golden Boy Tommy the other day and tried to make the point i had left Northeastern's antiwar group because of the strangle hold a single member of the ISO had over the management of the antiwar group... the point was lost so i lied and dismissed myself and Andrea...
