This week in Ireland went on location in Paris. We almost didn't have a place to stay because we were late and the hostel cancelled our reservation. Luckily everything worked out and we ended up at a nearby hotel for slightly more money. Saturday consisted of some serious sightseeing. We started at the Arc de Triumphe, then walked all over making our way to the Trocadero, Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Pantheon, and the Cathedral at Notre Dame. All of it was awesome. Unfortunately, we missed out on the remnants of the Bastille and Versaille but the Louvre was awesome. I could have stayed all day but we got there an hour before it closed. I did see the Mona Lisa and the famous French Revolution painting with Lady Victory but missed out on the Venus de Milo because of time. The food was good. I ate escargot, which is snails. They were worth trying but not that good. I also had Creme whatever, the custard stuff. Very sweet. The wine was good and the pastries, like croissants, were amazing. Every bit as good as everyone says. The nightlife sucked though and the beer was too expensive. That's about it for Paris. Nothing special this weekend but this week I have to start doing work.
