R.I.P. Soupy Sales
Sales was born Milton Supman on Jan. 8, 1926, in Franklinton, North Carolina, where his was the only Jewish family in town. His parents, owners of a dry-goods store, sold sheets to the Ku Klux Klan. The family later moved to Huntington, West Viriginia.
West Virginia's claim to fame....He and Don Knotts... and Peter Marshall former Hollywood Squares game show host.
Well, we do have other famous actors from WV too. I can't remember her name. But, the red haired lady that plays on the sit com with Charlie Sheen 2 and 1/2 Men CBS. She is from West Virginia too. I first saw her on Nurses in the 1980's spin off of Empty nest.
If you watched Another World the soap opera in the 1990's Donna Love was from Bluefield WV.
