I have proof that the Navy misdiagnosed my Crohn's disease in 1997. Crohn's disease is a 20% service related injury. That is 243 dollars a month. I could be eligable for back pay on this compensation for the ten years I've been out of the service. That's 26 thousand dollars. I had an interesting trip to the VA office today.
I have requested my military records, and my military medical records. My doctor reviews my medical records, and sees all the tests I took in my military with stomach issues, my diagnosis for "non-descript acute abdominal pain", and then states he has recently diagnosed me successfully with Crohn's. When I entered the military, Crohn's hadn't presented yet. Two years in, while in Japan, it started. When I outprocessed it was documented, but "non-descript acute abdominal pain" doesn't have a code, so it's SRI is 0%. Crohn's, as previously stated, is 20% SLI.
So I went from a nonwartime vet, to a wartime vet, to a partially disabled vet all in the span of two months. What a crazy ass year.
PS. Yes all my friends who have told me for the past ten years to "Go to the damn VA, you're probably entitled to something." you were right. I shoulda listened.
PSS. I RICH BIIIIIIII
PSSS. 26k would put me at a balance. And a wicked ass down payment on BAMF car with rims and shit. 243 a month plus 270 dollars a month less in bills.
PSSSS. VA actually has two Home Loan programs I can do at the same time, plus one for Texas too. OMGWTFBBQ I came.
Today was pretty good.
