HEROES

So I sat down yesterday and today, and finally watched all the episodes of “HEROES” (thank you nbc.com). I’d seen the first, third, and fourth episodes before, but as anyone who watches it may know, you miss one, and you’re lost, so I just started over.
And the show…is great.
For months now every time I turn around people are raving about it. You can’t go online, turn on the TV, or open a paper with out seeing something about it, and now I understand why.
One thing that was very strange about my experience though, is that it’s written like a comic book. Now I’ve been reading comic books for well over 15, and writing in a comic book style for at least 8, and as I’m watching the show, I can see what’s coming before it happens. And I’m in no way saying that the show is predictable, quiet the opposite, I’m just saying that it’s great that it is written in such a comic book fashion, that if you know some of the tools and tricks attached to writing comics, the plot seems to shimmer into view before it happens. I found myself sitting at my desk saying things like “Oh, don’t’ you fucking do it……you’re gonna fucking do it……he fucking did it” and “Don’t do that, it’s not gonna work, stop, stop…*sigh* why don’t you ever listen to me?”
I’m gonna have to buy a VCR so I can record it when the new episodes come on. Between that and Battlestar Galactica I’ve picked up enough TV habits for one year.

In other news, our grades came in for the semester and I ended up with a 3.83. All Aces…except that one B+, which I saw coming. Ah well, at least I didn’t get a 4.0, cuz then I’d feel the stress next semester of wanting to keep it.

A ton of people love the character of Hiro, and it's justified. he's a great cahracter, but as you might imagine, I've got a strong love for Peter. Someone who wants so bad to be different, to make a difference, to have power...and on that same coin, part of me sees Sylar in some dark corner of my personality.
