echolex got me some really cool shaving stuff.
I had mentioned wanting to try wet shaving, after reading a lot of good stuff on it and being sick of spending $2/cartridge for razors. She did a ton of research and got me a badger hair brush:

and some fancy shaving cream:
She also got me a ton of links to read up on technique and that sort of thing, like the
Badger & Blade forums and
all these YouTube videos. It's definitely not the kind of thing you can just slap on your face and go, you have to build a good lather and lightly press the blade. In fact I'm still just getting the lather right, so I'm still using my old cartridge razor. But everyone assures me that once I get a hang of the lather and the safety razor I'll have a baby butt smooth face, so I'm going to put in the effort to get it right.
