I'm sick, but what's weird is that it came on really suddenly. I was playing Xbox and all of the sudden I realized my throat hurt, my muscles were sore, my nose was runny and I was warm. You know, sick. It hadn't been like that a half hour earlier. I was exposed to sick people on Thursday and Friday, so I imagine the bug has been in my body since then.
I picture my body as a giant playing field for
Conway's Game of Life, where the disease and my immune system reached a delicate stasis. Then, at the far edge of the map, the disease gained the upper hand and the change rippled throughout the playing field, quickly turning the game in the disease's favor. I guess in addition to the symptoms above I also have a sudden tendency to classify things in relation to mathematical games.
