i love weddings, drinks all around!

so i just got home from my aunt amy's wedding. the whole night i was making mental notes for my own wedding.

first of all, i was totally in the minority, being catholic. damn born-again types with their uber religious weddings and their adam's rib reading and their conservativeness and their very difinitively male deity with their "lords" and their "fathers" and never once a "creator"

i had no idea anyone still said "I now pronounce you man and wife"... i thought even the least progressive of people said "husband and wife" by now. that pissed me off.

now, im not one to say that every woman should keep her own name, a la my mom. im undecided. but ill tell you how im going to decide-- whichever name sounds better. and an Amy Agronis should not change her name to Amy Berkinwhateverhisname is.

I'm DEFINATELY writing my own vows.... i mean, what was that?

At my wedding, the cake will be chocolate.

We will have unlimited supplies of MULTIPLE types of REALLY GOOD, REALLY FRESH BREAD.

and cheese.

I'm not sure what the main course will be.

I LOVED the band. They played great jazzy stuff, and also swingy stuff, and rock and roll, and even some santana. haha, it was awesome. old people dancing is funny. i danced with my grandfather, and my father, and two of my uncles. and the guy on the key board, im pretty sure, played for us for choir for some concert. the woman who sang with them had an amazing voice. it was great.

there were no attractive young men. i was disappointed.
