Chanyeol is no longer a boy-nor is Kyungsoo, though the changes are less noticeable, or so Kyungsoo thinks anyway. Kyungsoo isn’t sure, but he thinks he may just have missed the moment when Chanyeol had grown up.

This is so sweet, and I love the ending (:

The ending was actually really spontaneous, it just seemed more appropriate than the initial ending I had in mind. I'm glad that last-minute decision turned out well. :)

To be fair I've been writing fic for years, though under a different pen name. I used to write Super Junior fic, but I stopped two years ago to pursue other fandoms. I guess this is also my return to KPOP fandoms. I've read a ton of inspiring EXO fic lately so I've been itching to try my hand ;a;

I was slightly hesitant to post this (I'm self-conscious with dialogue and characterizations), and had I not written this for a fic challenge I probably would've spent ages editing it to the point where I'd discourage myself from posting. So I'm really pleased to hear that you cried (okay, that sounded better in my head), because it means I succeeded in my attempts to have readers identify with Kyungsoo and Chanyeol. c:

You should still read the other entries (the deadline for submissions is today), because I'm sure there are many other great stories worth reading! But, if you still want to vote for me after reading all of that, then I am honored. ♥

Your compliments make me happy, because I spent a lot of time (more than I usually do, anyway :P) editing the first half of the story and making sure the style of writing and description mirrored Kyungsoo's innocence and such. :)

( They are also the death of my shipping heart, and while I wish more people shipped these two, at the same time I enjoy less common pairings. ♥ )

But I agree, I really like stories which show the development of two characters and their relationship together, as they interact with each other over a period of time. (I'm currently editing a story of this nature for the INFINITE fandom, a MyungJong piece which is about 4k words longer than this one.) I like the idea of innocent friendship blooming to something more, but its development is key; I was deprived of this genre (perhaps just looking in all the wrong places), so I tried my hand at it, and since I really wanted to try writing for EXO, I figured why not. c:
