"School's out for me, school's out for you." FINALLY.

It's been a week.

Monday and Tuesday floated and I was completely procrastinating on a 10 page research paper due today. I eventually started on Wednesday and finished up the last edits on Thursday night.

It was never just ME procrastinating, but something else that would push it back...

Wednesday after I dropped Eric off at his post-op LASIK consultation, I checked my email when I sat down to write my paper and I got an email from my adviser saying that she was picking me up at noon and not to bring any money. ...Whaaa? She ended up whisking me away to Coral Tree Cafe in Brentwood then to a spa pedicure afterwards. WOW. Definitely worth putting off starting my paper. I'm still admiring my French pedicure. :]

Tammy also had a paper to write so we worked like mad until the wee hours of the night. I called it a night around 3 while she continued to write. At 3:30 AM there was a building fire alarm and I had to haul myself out of bed, knock on 50 doors and clear the floor. Of course it was Undie Run night so half of the people were still in their underwear and drunkenly belligerent. Tight. I eventually got back to bed at 4:45 AM and talked to Tammy until I fell asleep. I woke up to Mark calling us for breakfast, but I don't really remember what I said. The next thing I knew he was knocking on the door and we were still half asleep in our pajamas.

We worked on our papers for a bit more and eventually Jeff and Christian from Orientation Staff joined us for lunch. It was somewhat funny having my boss in my room. I don't really remember what happened but all of a sudden it was 4:30 and Jeff and I were in the car with Tammy on the way to drop off her paper. We got dinner at McDonald's and then I was back in time for duty.

I edited my paper, turned it in, and started working on the money leis I was making for my graduating friends. During the evening I was in and out of my room a lot and I saw a lot of my residents moving out. I can't believe this year is over. I remember seeing them so bright eyed and bushy tailed and excited about moving in. It's strange to realize how much they've grown over the past year. That sounds so motherly, but wow.

After everything, I love my job.

Tomorrow/Today is Commencement. I don't want to say goodbye to everyone.
