Oh Day of Hearts!
Ok so basically to sum up my Valentine's Day, ( which was just about as perfect as I could have gotten it)...
Waited for Kristi to get out of class and drove over to her house and gave her the big construction paper valentine I made, along with her 6 white roses and her plush kissing hedgehogs. She in turn gave me a valentines day bag containing a Symphony bar, two (2) boxes of blueberries. Two bags of homemade chocolate covered strawberries and blueberries. Her mom had sent me a bag of Lindor Truffles so i got that. And coincidentally she got me a plush hedgehog that holds a heart saying "Hedge Huggs" (so cute!) Her sister gave me some play-doh. It's pretty frickin sweet.
We then prepared some no-bake choclate peanutbutter oatmeal cookies, which were incredible!
But you see, we didn't eat anything all day, because I had warned her of a surprise. Around 7:30 we headed out to arrive for my 8:15 reservation at Texas de Brazil. She had never been, and she absolutely loved it! It was the best feeling in the world, in both my stomach and heart! haha.
But despite the food, atmosphere, and service, the one thing that I remember most is how absolutely stunning she was. Kristi's left me breathless before, but not like this. Wow. Wow.
Anyway after dinner I drove her to her mom's house and she gave her mom the flowers she bought, and we fitted all her floral arrangements into vases. Then we bundled up and went back home where we enjoyed some of the cookies and went to bed. A great day to let someone know you love them! (Not that I don't do it on a daily basis.
