The rain came down this morning,
In big drops round my nose.
It splashed down in the gutter,
And it wrinkled up my toes.
But you'll never hear me complaining,
Because you can't see me crying if it's raining.
Like a hurricane,
You came out of the east,
With the smile of a lover,
But the heart of the beast.
While I was sleeping next to you in your bed,
With your toenail you carved a heart on my forehead.
