You know, I almost never post direct show links, but it's a tradition of Andre's and Steve's and Patrick's. So I figure I'd do it just this once.
The traditional Saturday lineup was quite irregular this week. Due in large part to technological issues beyond their control, there was no Derek, no Andre, no Arfy, no Steve, no Karen, and no Patrick yesterday. This may prompt one to ask: How then could there have possibly been anything of interest whatsoever on TBRN without WDGLFM, The Louis Bin, Blart Radio, Things and Stuff, or The Early Morning, Late Night, Not Quite Breakfast Show? Well,
here is the Cover Bin that I did in lieu of the Larfy/Louis Bin yesterday. Now, this in of itself was a fun show. Just William made a grand return to the network, and there were a few requests splattered about with a mix of Phil Harris and various birthday wishes for Derek, many of them from everyone's favorite Bryan.
I had intended to cover for Steve as well, but I was pleasantly surprised when
Bec Radio took over the virtual airwaves at 8:00 Eastern Time, complete with the traditional Blart beginning and ending music. I assumed my usual co-hosting duties as the show continued with more just William, a particularly creepy segment of Unsolved Mysteries, and an encore performance of the singing bathtime kitty! To help add to the Blart motif, A Nightwish and Seamus Kennedy track were thrown into the mix as well, until just after 10:00, when we graciously let everyone tune back in to the effortless bliss of automation.
Obviously this could never substitute for the actual Saturday lineup, but Bec and I really did have a blast doing this. So for that reason alone, you all should check out these two archives if you missed the live broadcast. I almost sort of promise that you possibly may not be disappointed in what you hear.
