Effects: ...Nothing, really.
Warnings: None in particular.

A commotion had taken hold of Osaka castle, coming to the attention of Mitsunari Ishida and his advisor. As the two made their way quickly out of the castle, a pikeman raced towards the pair, shouting in a panic-

"D-Dark King! There's an intruder--" the soldier began, only to find himself immediately pushed aside as Mitsunari bolted forward, racing towards the castle's entrance. The pikeman and his advisor watch him, both seeming to hesitate a moment before following.

When Mitsunari reaches the entrance, his men have already surrounded the intruder. The red clad warrior some may recognize as Yukimura Sanada, is subdued, forced to his knees. Mitsunari approaches, his man moving aside as he draws his katana and holds it just centimeters from the other man's face. But Yukimura's eyes are not watching the blade that threatens him. Yukimura's eyes are locked on Mitsunari's.

The Dark King remains still and Yukimura does the same, never breaking eye contact. The stranger shows no fear of the Dark King, only the silent strength of his conviction - he's not here to fight. This much Mitsunari knows. Slowly, Mitsunari begins to relax, lowering his blade and stepping a few paces back. "Speak. What is it you have come here for?"

As the man relented, Yukimura was quick to rise up to his feet, fists clenched tightly. "Ishida Mitsunari! I am Sanada Genjiro Yukimura of the Takeda - I come seeking an alliance." Mitsunari remained silent, just watching the man before him. From behind, Mitsunari's advisor moved in closer to the two men, seated his floating palanquin as he stops by his Lord's side. His black eyes watch Yukimura as if sizing the Young Tiger of Kai up - he certainly possessed a great deal of courage to come to Osaka.

"Mitsunari..." his advisor spoke, his words a hushed whisper as he turned his head to his Lord. "It would be wise to pay heed to this man's words. An alliance with the Takeda would certainly benefit us." Mitsunari made a short grunt, glancing to the bandaged man by his side before his eyes cast their steely gaze upon Yukimura once again, quietly considering his companion's words.

Finally, he nods.

"The Takeda have always been men of honour... I expect you to uphold their code, Sanada Genjiro Yukimura-" Mitsunari began, hardened gaze never leaving the other samurai, "Should you betray me, there is a pike reserved for your head right next to Ieyasu's."

Unfazed by the man's threats, Yukimura gave a stark nod, standing proudly before the Dark King. "This Yukimura believes in honour above all else - Ishida-dono, I will not give you any reason to doubt the men of Takeda nor our loyalty!"

This answer is deemed acceptable. With a nod of acknowledgment, Mitsunari turns his back to the red-clad samurai. "All those in service to Lord Hideyoshi are to be welcomed to Osaka castle."

[Mitsunari awakens, sitting up from his futon. Everything about his body aches - this is the first time he's managed to sleep since his arrival in Somarium and yet, even after his brief rest he feels more exhausted than he has since he first took shelter within the walls of Yukimura's dojo. Though the way a familiar face had served to welcome him had lessened the blow of waking up in a foreign land, the fact his ally held no recollection of him was something Mitsunari was having a difficult time coping with. Was this Yukimura here the same as the one he recalled? Would this Yukimura pledge his unwavering loyalty to the Toyotomi forces?

Mitsunari brings his hands up, rubbing his eyes with his palms. He cannot idle and rest any longer than he already has. Ieyasu is still living, still breathing - he needs to find out how to get back home and complete his task.

The blinking light of his nearby Dreamberry goes unnoticed.]
