(no subject)
Job searching is getting a little exhausting...
I applied to the Barnes and Noble in Rittenhouse Square, and, that's about it. I can't believe it... for all the copies of my resume that I've given out, for all the traveling around Philly I've done... how is it that I've only really finished one application?? Laura = Confused. I think it's because I spent so much time looking for Kinko's, and once I got there the prints and copies came out so... crappy... and then I was walking around in at LEAST 90 degree weather. But for all that I didn't really get anything accomplished :-\ I did pick up an application for being a tutor on 69th street, and I think I'll feel more productive once I've filled that out and handed it in :) Plus I need to do the online application for Borders (which I did exactly a year ago and never got any kind of response). Ughhhh!!! Why do I feel like nowhere will accept me no matter what I do?! I don't know, hopefully something will work out this time.
I do have a job that I'm starting on Monday; it's with Campaign for the Environment, so I'd be going to people's houses trying to get them to donate money. It seems like I'd be working with a cool group of people, but my parents really don't want me knocking on strangers' doors, and they've pretty much said I'm not allowed to do it. Part of me definitely agrees :-\ So, I'll at least do the training and see how that goes, but hopefully some other place will take me! I mean... I need to do something.
