I didn't read the main part of this post because I haven't heard of these books before, so I don't want to spoil myself :) But I'm definitely checking them out asap! We usually like the same things, so I'll let you know when I pick up the first book.
Oh Ashley! you have to try this series. I really did not think it would be for me. It's so different from any other YA novels I like but the talent of Suzanne Collins did the trick. I read the first book so quickly ! Try it !! Are you reading anything interesting ? I miss our books-related talks !!!
I was planning on going to the bookstore this week, so I'll pick up the first novel and let you know what I think! It seems to be really well reviewed so I'm excited to try it.
Yeah! I am reading A.S. Byatt's new novel 'The Children's Book'. It's good so far. I love her writing style. It's fairly long so I'll have to reserve judgment on the story itself, but I'll let you know when I'm done. I also picked up a book the other day that I thought looked interesting, called The Secret Life of Emily Dickinson. The author writes in Emily Dickinson's place about her life, using known facts, and colors in some of the details to try to make her come alive a bit more then she has in already written bios. Most of the reviews are positive, so I'm hoping it will be interesting!
I have never heard of Mokingjay, but I'll look into it now. I'm currently reading Sherlock Holmes stories, I want to read them all and they're so addicting. I'm glad you're posting again (says the girl who hasn't updated her lj in months haha), you post the loveliest photos with your entries.
Oh, by the way, I'm thinking of doing my exchange year (for law) in Paris, but I have a couple of questions could I bother you with them if you have time?
The Hunger Games is an excellent series of YA novels. You should try it ! I love the Sherlock Holmes stories. I really want to re-read them all someday. I'm sure you're having lots of fun ! Aww thank you ! This is sooo nice ! Thank you ! You really should try to post more often too. It's so much fun :)
This is very exciting ! You can definitely ask me anything you want to know. I'd be glad to answer (if I can).
