Yesterday I went to see a black and white silent film by Frank Borzage entitled Lucky Star (from 1929). As it's often the case, my friend suggested it and he's the expert so I happily accepted. From all the films I've ever seen, it's definitely one of my favourites. I was a bit worried since there was absolutely no sound, no music (I went to see a silent film once in that same cinema but they had added music on that one) but oh! it was perfect.
It's a very touching story. Such a simple story, really. A young girl meets two men before they go to war and when they come back, one of them is in a wheelchair. He's the good one (Charles Farrell). They develop such a precious and unique relationship. I now think that all love stories should be filmed without any sound or dialogue.
Don't get me started on Charles Farrell's perfect face...

I hope you're all having a nice weekend. I still have two essays to finish and and exam to study !
