Yesterday was our 3-year wedding anniversary. We've been together for 2,717 days. If we both die in our eighties, we'll have been together for about 24,252 days. Wow! Well if the next 7 years is jam-packed full of adventure like the last 7 were, that would be awesome. Then I would be pretty excited to have some boring 7 years after that. And then 3.5 years of adventure. Or something like that. Whatever the next 58 years bring, we're ready for it!
Billy just got a job at the Serra dealership at 30-mile and the bypass. If you have car troubles, bring it there and have it looked at by an awesome, honest mechanic. I'm so proud! It's great because it's just 2 miles from our apartment, so he gets to come home for lunch. And he is really liking it so far. I just got a small job teaching a young children's music class. I get to teach 3-5 year olds the basic concepts of music through singing, dancing and general noisemaking. The class is 9 students, and they're all so cute! It's much different than teaching private lessons, but I really like it. And the kids are learning and having fun, so mission accomplished.
Trying to buy a house right now is rotten. We are good candidates for buying a house, and we still have trouble. Our problem is that we want a house with lots of land, for not a lot of money. And it's okay if it's a fixer-upper. We don't want to work our lives away to pay for a house, that's craziness. But the only cheap houses with land are foreclosures or HUD houses...and good luck trying to buy one of those. So we're still at the apartment for now, until we find the right one. Third annual New Year's Party?
