Belated thank you story

A story I wish to share.

Many years ago there was a dancer who had decided on her last day on earth.  Plans were made, provisions were set, property was distributed to chosen ones, etc.  They wanted to go out one last time and dance the night away.

I happened to be there that night too.  It was at a club called Trax and this was back when the legendary Mohawk Adam spun on Thursday nights (after the Roxy on Wednesday nights).  That’s in case you aren’t familiar and/or aren’t from the DC area.

It was one of those *golden* nights.  Everyone boogied and even when the other side closed down our side was *still* pretty packed after 3:30 in the morning.  Finally at 4-something he played “Shake Senora" and we got a conga line going in the club.  We finally had to get kicked out (the 90-something of us left, fellow dancer included) and off into the night I went.

As it turned out (yes this sounds corny) the dancer had such a good time that she re-thought her decision.  She didn’t become a statistic.  She even eventually (last I knew) got her life in order, got married, etc.  I found out about her plan after the fact; it was in my pre-Revengel days.

The reason I’m posting this here is I never got the chance to pass this onto Adam, so if any of you have his zap please either send this to him or point him here.

Thank you.

memories, happy, thanks, music, life, clubbing
