My father came, too. So I think my day was rather a lot like yours--taking him to see everything, meeting my friends, letting him know that I'm all right here.
Like you said, in a one-sided way. I'd point them out or speak to them on the Network, and then act as intermediary if Daddy had anything to say. Sam came up with quite a clever solution, and sent little movie messages of himself so it was more like speaking to Daddy directly.
Goodness, I was terribly worried about how it all would go, for a while. Everyone was cursed to see their fathers and it was snowing and we had to find new sets and make adaptations for the costumes and all sorts of things on barely a day's notice...
Oh, but it was wonderful! I had so much fun and we all did so well!
I did! I had one of the leads, but Neil--he was the one that put it all together--was really the star of the show. I don't think there's any doubt of that.
