Wow, almost a year since I last updated. Or at least that's what i'd assume was the last time since i'm too lazy to check. I have a question for all....seven, possibly eight of the people on my friendlist thinger. If the world has already been conquered, if there's nowhere left to explore on earth, then who are these modern explorers? Is this why we call them adventurers instead? Are they just thrill seekers looking for a rush, or is there some deeper purpose to what they do. I don't think I really want to be just an adventurer anymore, I want to be an explorer. It seems to encompass more things, more excitement, more purpose. Adventures are great, but are there really any epic adventures or is it just by walking and endangering our lives via nature that we give ourselves a thrill. Has the danger become the goal instead of the obstacle? Bah, I think i'm a bit disillusioned with the whole adventuring scene.
Anyway, what are your views on this. I realize some of you may not have crazy woodsy adventures, but i'm sure you have some sort of opinion of the people who do at least. And if so, any professions strike you as being adventuresome with a goal in mind other than bragging rights?
Much obliged,
JAy out.
