Happy New Year, hope everyone is recovering from their hangovers.
It wasn't so busy last night at the restaurant, compared to last year. I went it at five, and we needed so much prep. We got slammed, but it was the perfect rush. I ended up making appetizers, but only made half of the batch I usually make, and in case we ran out, I'd make it on the fly.
Luckily, we closed at 11 this time around, and I didn't get out til 11:45. No one was really down to do anything. McAllen had it's ball dropping event. I hate it when towns try to do big city things. It's like if Alaska had spring break.
Today was a "waste." I was expecting to go out, but nothing happened. I ended up catching some much needed rest. I double on Friday, and work from five-close on Saturday. Already, I'm thinking what needs to be done the second I clock in.
