Summary: In 1994, Dean Winchester and three of his friends find themselves serving a six month sentence in Faribault Home for Boys after being caught stealing a car. The judge intended the sentence to be a wake-up call, to inspire them to a life as productive citizens, but what happens to them there is something they've been paying the price for ever since. The day after his sixteenth birthday, Dean leaves his brother and his father, claiming he's old enough to hunt on his own, the compulsion to go stronger than any sense of duty he has for his family.
If there's one thing that's true, however, it's that Sam & Dean are inseparable, even when Sam goes to Stanford and decides to becomes a lawyer. Even after an epic row that has them not speaking for four years. Some things that are just inevitable, one of those is Sam & Dean, the other is that all secrets are bound to come out eventually.
