Emily had a book. She supposed that the sooner she learned Japanese the sooner she would figure whether Takeda was praising her under his breathe or regretting his decision to teach her every time he changed languages. He kind of changed languages a lot, and it was kind of annoying; besides, it would be cool to surprise the guy next time they talked, right?

But currently she was sitting on her desk -okay, next to it- making faces at the book, because how the hell do you pronounce half the things in there, right? Maybe she should find someone who spoke Japanese and ask for assistance.

Help was a word Emily Thorne avoided at all costs.
