Another week goes by
Second week of treatment was pretty much the same as the first. Boring. I got a look at my numbers today and it turns out that I'm iron deficient again. Lovely - more pills. My WBC numbers are dipping down too. They aren't too bad - my ANC is still above 1500 but Dr D'Amato said that I should be careful if I get a fever or a cough and go to an ER and get my counts run. She said that if I had trouble getting them to run one to have them call her - anytime day or night. She then writes her cell phone number for me on the back of her business card. As if I needed another reason to like her.
I'm currently in the airport waiting for the flight to Las Vegas that starts my trip to Kauai. I'm so psyched. A week of is definitely what the doctor ordered. I really don't know exactly what to expect on the island but how can sand, sun, beautiful scenery, family and friends be wrong?
