Ouch! Ouch! You're on my hair!

Wow, what a weekend!  There was about a weekend and a half crammed into this past weekend.  On Friday, we went to see the Synetic Theater's production of Faust.  Not as good as their production of Dracula, but still very cool, nevertheless.  Kind of a gothy, punky version of Faust, with lots of leather and hard rock music.  :)  Well done, in my opinion, but what do I know?

Saturday morning/afternoon, we took the visiting
rowanravyn and her daughter, Megan, to the Frederick Celtic Festival.  Best part was Megan wandering around with
whiteknucklejoe in a great kilt, calling him *her* ogre.  The fest was all of 10 minutes from our house, and I was pretty impressed with the layout.  Definitely smaller than Potomac Celtic Festival, but still pretty big, and they had some pretty decent bands as well.

Saturday night,
irenejericho,
legolish, Joe and myself headed down to Esoterica to run sound for the Dreamscapes Project.  TDP is a really excellent rock-folk band, with a great sound, but also have an incredibly goofy stage demeanor that's just great to watch.  Got them setup pretty well for the space and after the first song and a half I think we had them sounding quite well.  They seemed to have a good time threatening to eat the fish in the little goldfish pond within the gazebo.  ;)  Hung out with Keith and his girlfriend for a bit afterwards before heading home.

Got up Sunday and after taking a while to get moving, headed over to
idragosani's for Cassandra Syndrome practice.  Irene did a good run down in the
cassyndrome community,  but I will suffice it to say that our newest creation, "None but Shadows" will be featured at our upcoming show at Esoterica this Saturday, May 20th.  We'll have Lauren Kendall opening for us and the festivities will kick off at 8pm, so anyone that can make it I really hope you come out.  Should be fun!

After practice, came home, showered, and ended up falling asleep for a couple of hours.  Woke up to watch "Wedding Crashers" with
ncalrod and
odilla, who came over to visit.
rowanravyn and Megan got back to the house about halfway through the movie, as they'd been out visiting with her good friend
dthdancer during the day.  Things got rather raucous after that, and I've got a bit of a hangover today, but it sure was a lot of fun.  :)

And that, my friends, was my *wheee*kend!  That was terrible, I know, but I really felt like it needed some punch there at the end.  ;)
