Long Time, no Update...

Wow, it's been a while since I last posted, so I figured I'd try and sum up the past week or so.  First off, the gig up in Salem this past weekend got cancelled due to weather.  We ended up going up anyway, and I'm very glad we didn't play.  Saturday, which is the day we were supposed to play, was cold and wintery up there, with quite a bit of rather wet snow.  Not good for electronics, nor instruments.  Not good for the performers, either, to be honest.  But we had an absolute blast visiting and wandering around Salem again, and had a wonderful time with our host, Adrian.  We also played this game called 'Munchkin' which was absolutely awesome.  Think simplified D & D played with cards, all with a twisted sense of humor.  One of the 'magickal items' I collected was called the 'Kneepads of Allure'.  Guess what they did!  ;)

Came home Sunday (which was beautiful and warm, go figure) and then participated in the Leesburg Halloween Parade Monday night.  In Leesburg, rather than trick or treating, the kids dress up and line the town parade route, and then the local busisnesses come down on floats and hand out candy as they go by.  We were a part of the Esoterica float, and my job was to play my djembe as we marched down the road.  Note to self: playing a large djembe without a proper strap while walking can often be quite difficult ;).  It was a lot of fun, though.

Also on Monday, Irene (revelmoon ) was in the "Washington Post Express", which is the daily commuter paper here in DC.  It's about her upcoming class on WitchCraft, and you can check it out here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/express/pdfs/EXPRESS_10312005.pdf .  Her article is on page 22.  I thought it was quite complimnetary and positive.  Very cool stuff, I think.

Tonight we're going to the NIN concert at the MCI center.  Should be a lot of fun, I think.  :)

Last but not least, we're officially starting Cassandra Syndrome practices this upcoming Sunday.  I'm really looking forward to that.  Yay!
