Yes, i'm a member. I haven't updated much at all lately, and defintiely nothing weighty or revealing. I suppose much hasn't been happening, just mainly trying to keep the bills paid, and trying to leave work at work. Looking for a new job is progressing as expected. I had one offer in another lab but it was a full 6k a year less than what I make now. So I was forced to pass, which is a shame because I had a good vibe with the people there. I snuk out for the interview during my lunch hour last week and nobody was the wiser.

Anyhow in other news, the car is fine and the apartment is shaping up nicely. Although my iron broke recently- how random is that? I go to iron a shirt to wear last night and the iron just would not turn on and when I shake it a little, I can now hear some little pieces rattling around inside of the thing. Oh well. I also need to get myself a vacuum cleaner (instead of always borrowing a neighbor's) and a nice square-ish coffee table and rug for the "entertainment" area. I moved around be a bed a bit and put together my bar finally. It's been sitting in the corner for months since I'm hardly ever in my room other than sleeping.

Speaking of sleeping I am LOVING my new comforter. My mom went off this year and bought a giagantic Tommy comforter. It weights about 495890 pounds and I love it. My other Christmas presents weren't too good, but that's how the cookie crumbles some years. lol. Let's just say some things are being returned and some can't be returned, but should be. HA.

Jason is planning on introducing me to some good friend of Shanti's tomorrow morning. Morning is right. I repeated that because it bears repeating. He has four tickets to the Pens game tomorrow and we are all going. Me, Jason, Shati, and this girl lauren. Apparently she got her B.S. in Math or Engineering and then moved to Colorado for grad school. Grad school was not for her and she just moved back into pgh about 2 weeks ago. However, she is still seeing some guy, but Shanti said it's not serious and that Lauren said, "I dunno why i'm going out with him, he's kind of an asshole and not even that hot now that I think about it." So i guess I am to be this other guy's replacement. But the game is at 1pm and Shati doesn't like sporting events unless she's drunk... so. I guess i'm 21 again drinking on a saturday morning... kegs and eggs? HAHA. Anyhow this was the description (which i'm very HAPPY did not begin with - SHe's really nice!): She's supposed to be hot and smart, but "just a little bit crazy". I've definitely run into some bad tar pits with that phrase before. When you don't realize someone is completely insane until it's too late and extracting yourself from the situation is very difficult. Little bit crazy. HA. that means anything from "like her coffee only a certian way" to "was institutionalized 2 years ago for killing a boyfriend with her stiletto". So it will be interesting.

ALSO tomorrow night at Jason's will be Mel's big entrance. One of her first major public appearances since her breast augmentation surgery a while back. She's all healed up and ready to go. Jason says he thinks she's already named them. lol, Mel kills me.

Robin is in town for a while and has invited me to join her and some people at a club somewhere in the strip if Jason's party starts to tank early, which I will DEFINITELY do if things look boring. All that's left is to talk to Andy Davis and inform Bailey of the state of things tomorow afternoon and see what he's into at night. I may roll to a house party or two with him and Chrissy. If i've learned one thing about NYE it's NOT to settle for a shitty party. If you aren't getting what you want out of your party, then move on, most of the time it's totally worth it. I think my best NYE parties (with an obvious exception :-D) were ones where I left one party and went to some other random place.

Well i'm sure i'll be writing a lot more in th next couple of days to cover who said what, who was wearing what, etc etc. The "Seen" of my social circles. :-D HA

One final question: I have decided to need to purchase a digital camera. Any reccomendations? it doesn't need to be top shelf or anything, just something functional, decent quality, and something somewhat portable.
