Have you read the Dark Hunter books? They feature the Greek Pantheon in a modern setting. The one I'm reading "Devil May Cry" is great! redeemible "bad guys", well matched H/h, loads of snark and a demon that shops QVC and brings BBQ sauce to a fight! I'm spite of not know a drop of back story I had no problem keeping up. It's romance heavy but the story doesn't come to a halt for the H/h to have sex.

Xena ish stuff seems to my latest theme. I just picked it up by mistake [#umpteen of lord knows how many!] and if I hadn't been stuck watching the shop with nothing to read between tourist I would've passed on a good thing. I really thought by the cover it was a another urban fantasy vampire thing like LKH [yuck.]

Thanks for the tip -- I'll have to look up the 'Dark Hunter' books!

I just took a quick glance on Amazon.com, and learned that "Devil May Cry" is number 11 in the series by Sherilynn Kenyon, and there are at least 13 so far, from the looks of it. It bodes well that you were able to pick up #11 and dive right in, without having to have read the earlier books.

I'll see if my library has copies!

If I'd known there were so many I'd never get sucked into this but now I must have company.
