More Random Thoughts: "Dr. Who"-related

Oct 11, 2006 17:10

My other wild impression that I can't quite logically validate or justify at this point, came after watching about the first seven episodes from season 2 of Dr. Who on missmurchison's laptop after WriterCon this summer: it seemed to me that the keynote of most of the episodes I'd seen had to do with "touching" -- with issues of the need to be touched, the danger of touching, the downside and upside of letting yourself be touched by life and experience and love and loss, etc..

I need to go back to grading exams, now, because my midterm grades are all due by Friday afternoon and I'm less than halfway done with my piles of essay exams, but I just wanted to get that off my chest. Again, I'm not sure how well that impression/hypothesis will hold up, once I've finally taken time to watch the whole of season 2, but maybe I'll sleep better tonight, with one less niggling theory chasing around my head searching for a way out into the world.
