And I sometimes think that others should update more often...

Despite how long it's been, I think this'll be a quick update (this turned out to be kinda wrong, but relatively...).

Things are going great right now. I've been enjoying having friends around, playing video games, going to anime club... I missed that stuff. I'm probably gonna miss it again, but not now.

Classes are like this:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday
09:00-09:50, Japanese 401 - So far, so easy. Gonna be about reading, presenting, summarizing newspaper articles from online. Not doing but 1 per week. Compared to what I was doing in Japan....
10:00-10:50, Comp Sci 423 (Finite Automata) - Math-type class, proofs, theory of computation, etc. Our (Chinese) professor will be good, I think. She gives really understandable explanations of the material.
11:00-11:50, Philosophy 215 (Contemporary Moral Ethics) - Not sure what to say about this one at the moment, but overall I don't think the workload it presents will be too great a burden.

Tuesday, Thursday
12:30-1:50, Comp Sci 444 (Operating Systems) - I think this is gonna live up to its reputation as the hardest comp sci course here, but maybe not as horribly difficult as I'd originally imagined. We've been split into two groups of four to work on our projects. As a habitual loner who prefers to work through things at his own pace, this four-person thing, while hopefully making things easier in some ways, will also be a bit annoying for me... but hey, working in teams is pretty typical for real jobs in programmings.

In addition to these classes, I think I'm going to be working with SIN on some programming stuff this year. Went to the first meeting last Tuesday, and there's something they're gonna be working on that I'd like to join on. I think I'll go again this week to discuss the details. That stuff would be less structured than classes, I'd just work on it when I could. I think it'd give me a better feel for the type of work I might do in the real world, being a real production website rather than a class project.

WMAS has been fun so far... liking Yakitate! Japan (<3 the opening theme at the moment), a crazy over-the-top show about bread-making for those few who read this and don't know anyway, and Monster, a dark mystery-ish show about a Japanese doctor working in Germany and some strange deaths, etc. Those two have been voted in both times now, and will probably continue to... especially Yakitate! Japan; it really has no competition for popularity from the selection right now, it's hilarious and got applause when the first two episodes ended at the first meeting. Also liked Trigun, which was added to the lineup this week to replace Gunslinger Girl, which sucked. Many people have already seen Trigun, as it's something of a classic I guess you could say, and I've seen some episodes on Cartoon Network, but I'd like to actually watch it straight through, in Japanese this time.

Ok, yeah, so the point is... things == good. I'm such a nerd, haha.
