Some Lifestyle Changes

On Easter Sunday, my mom pretty much forced me to join the gym with my aunt. Don't get me wrong, I had thought about it, but there was a silly reason why I was reluctant to do it until now.

See, my aunt can be rather obnoxious. She's a chatterbox and would talk about anything just to start up a conversation. Hell, even when I said I would join on that Sunday, for any other family member who didn't hear about it already, she would say "Hey [relative], did you know Toy's going to join the gym with me?" I'm pretty sure I heard that question at least five times within a ten minute frame.

Then came the day when I actually joined; she came over the house excitedly and told me to get ready so we could go. Thing was, I was already getting my gym clothes ready and was changing into them when I heard her say it a few times. Thankfully when we were actually at the gym, I didn't have to use the machines near her.

With that aside, joining the gym and having someone to go with gives me the motivation to work out. The first day I was there, however, I wasn't keeping track of my heart rate and when I was done in 30 minutes, I got off the machine and started to feel the blood rush to my head. Right after, my cousin asked if I wanted to do ab workout with him, and I agreed. I only did one set before I started to feel tunnel vision, where the edges of my eyes were blurring and my ears were getting clogged. I thought that was because I hadn't worked out in a while, but a couple days later, I realized that it was most likely that I pushed myself over my recommended heart rate.

Today would be my third time going. I was able to monitor my heart rate and I didn't get that tunnel vision feeling after I was done. Once I get used to my current workout, I'm going to have to find another way to challenge myself.
