After a 23 hour bus trip, i came into louisville. It was really nice to see the trees go from being dead sticks, except for the evergreens, to buds, then finally to branches full of blossoms and green leaves. It was beautiful out, and it was nice to see all the people walking around downtown, even if most of them were chump tourists in town for derby.
The house is now filled with more people, more animals, more filth, and way more shit than when I left. I have no idea where most of my stuff is, most probably eaten by the house. I got pretty overwhelmed, and went to grab my bike, but discovered some one had bent the rear wheel, and left it flat, as well as somehow disconnecting the rear brakes, ect., ect.
So, i went for a walk. I decided it would be a good idea to go on a bender. I also decided that i should drink alone, since i've never really done that before. Unfortunately, my plans were sort of hindered by the fact that i only had three dollars, so i walked to the beer store and bought two 40s of the cheapest malt liquor i could find. I drank one on the way back to the house, put on vitamin x, then ripped apart a couple of bikes, threw their parts on mine and rode north until the river stopped me. I stayed there for a while and finished the second 40. That night went on really late. In a nutshell, i ended up accidentlly running into a bunch of people, which was fun, going lots of differnt places, drinking more beer and passing out at julias.
Yesterday, i got up early afternoon, and went over to david and laurens with anna to hang out, get seeds, and talk about guerilla gardening. We hung out in the graveyard for while too, and i tried to climb a freemason grave. They gave us tons and we are going to be starting some in egg crates soon. david also had 100 pounds of potato starts, i guess we'll plant some of those too since they won't look much like vegtables at first glance to that inspector muthafuka. We missed our bus so we went herb shopping at a nursery, and got a flat of all different kinds of herbs, plus a bag of onion starts.
I went over to wallace, which was really good. I stayed there until everyone started to go to bed. Came back home, hung out with kids in the living room, until everyone went to bed here. Tried reading, it didn't work. I can't sleep, so I stared at the cieling and imagined gosts until holly came downstairs and said it was 6:30. It was starting to get light out, and it's still pretty warm, so i went for a walk in the rain. i followed the tracks for a few miles, and saw some pretty old hobo graffiti.
Eventually, i came to a park, and stood under an overhang to dry out some. Kids had drawn all over the pavement with pink chalk. they wrote, "Love is one thing, drugs are not a thing".
It was cool.
I still can't sleep though.
