I feel better already.
Today was a fun day.
I got the sweet spot on the ferry. First one on, first one off, right up front in the middle lane.
It was crazy windy and I tried to capture it on my cell phone but it doesnt really do it justice.
that boat was ROCKIN. I love trips over like that.
As fun as that was....the very best part about today was using MY NEW TOOLS!
I got unexpected Christmas money from my DAD. I was worried he had made a mistake and had to call him to be sure before I cashed the check.
I spent some of it on the new fridge I bought for the house, but the rest of it went towards tools.
While I was buying the fridge I took time to wonder around. There was some things I needed like a step stool and some paper towels. But what was pretty hard to ignore were all the after christmas deals!
I started out getting the RYOBI starter kit which was a kick ass cordless screwdriver with 2 levels on it! Which is excellent because I am not a straight shooter. Im constantly breaking the small drill bits because of it.
So that and a little baby cordless circular saw! The blade is only 5 1/2 inches but it still kicks ass. It also came with 2 18v batteries. sweet! They only take an hour to charge and now I have an extra one to swap out. all of that for $99.
But wait theres more!
With this special deal you got another cordless RYOBI tool of your choice up to $70!
Oh man! Now Im back in it trying to decide if I want a jig saw, a sawz all, 2 more batteries...all of this different stuff to chose from.
I was there for so long that 2 different home depot chicks came over to see if they could help. Im such a libra.
One of the ladies brought over an impact driver. She told me it was most expensive one I could get. Didnt seem like a good enough reason - but I kept coming back to it. I just thought it was another screw driver of sorts.
I was wrong.
This thing will put a screw in anything anytime anywhere. We used it to put in lag bolts! with no pre-drilling!
Its amazing and I love it.
So just when things couldnt possibley get any better - I returned to home depot the next night for fire wood. As I do often.
I once again found myself drawn to the RYOBI tool section. As I was standing there daydreaming about tools the of my future I just happend to turn and look down and there it was.
The tools I have been dreaming of owning since day one all wrapped up in one beautiful package.
This thing is amazing! Its a 2.5 gallon air compress welded to wheels with a retractable handle! It comes with a tool box that hooks to the top of the compressor. Attatched to the tool box is a little wheel that lets you wind your air hose up! AND it came with two finish guns!
With a lifetime guarentee all for.....$150. SHUT UP! Thats unheard of.
It was the floor model they broke out of the box and set up for the holdiays. It had been on display for about a month and had only been on the floor for sale for about 2 hrs.
All of the guys at check out gushed about the deal I was getting.
Since one of them was a big ol flaming homo I totally believed them.
That guy is my new best homo depot buddy. He has such a flaming voice, wears a pink hat and is a big ol bear. I love him.
Here are some more pictures of my baby...
oooooooOOOOOOooooo
aaaaAAAAAaaaaaaaah
I know - its a sick new obsession. Id been feeling panicky that this project is going to be over soon and I wont have all these amazing tools in my life anymore! I had to get my own.
ok. I'll stop now.
I will leave you with this sweet picture of my salty dog.
ahahahaha
She loves wearing hats! Its totally her favorite thing.
can ya tell?
