Tuesday Fading
I only had a half day at school today. We had a pep assembly and freshmen link tours and then a condensed schedules (so I have 3 10 minute classes today). Then we had a picnic lunch with them (during which I spent my time yelling at 13-year-old boys to quit throwing water at one another). Then the kids left.
I had 2 hours of planning time (finally). I spent most of it working on my website for the year.
And then.... (surprise, surprise) a meeting!
Of course, this is to be expected. I work at a Professional Learning Community (PLC) theoried school. I mean, I love it. I totally believe in cooperation between teachers and collaboration between courses... but I HATE MEETINGS. Full stop. And LHS loves meetings like I love ice cream. Anyway... we had a emergency evacuation drill and then I got to come home.
Took the pups to the dog park with Sarah & her dog Abby. They played for thirty minutes. Then Sarah & Abby came back to my house and went my mom (FYI: I bought this house in March. But being a public school teacher I can't afford the mortage alone. So my Mommy pays me rent.) got back we built 26 ft worth of fence. We cooked dinner and now I'm damn tired.
Full school tomorrow-- but a half day with kiddos. Then meetings... groan and moan. We begin again at 5 am! WOOT.
All that to say, only one update on barefootboys tonight. I planned to write more, but I'm just so damn tired.
But I finally have a fence!!!!! (Photos to follow... I swear.)
